sweet love - must read!!

absolutely a MUST READ!! i loved SAM and CLAIRE!! Claire is from a wealthy family, yet not pretentious in any way... she sees people for who they are, not what they have. Unlike her mother and sister. Claire's father is better than the two, yet still has a hard time getting past material lifestyle as well... but means well.
Sam comes from a family that was not wealthy, but had love and worked together.. his father passed away, and when Sam was old enough he helped his mother by getting a part time job as he went to school.. He had not gone to college yet, he was working as a mechanic helping his mother...
Claire's VW bug broke down and Sam happened to be passing by and stopped to help her, so since her selfish sister would not come get her and mother wouldn't pick up her phone... what other choice did she have? Sam and Claire talked all the way to the shop and when they dropped her car off, he also took her home and asked her out on a date..
there was an immediate connection between the two.. almost like soulmates as they called it..
there was an accident and Sam and Claire were both hurt and in the hospital and many surgeries... both had memory loss and did not remember eachother..
I will stop there because I won't ruin the book for anyone.... it gets sooo good!!! Sam and Claire's paths do cross again, yet they do not no one another... so why would they even stop to say, hello???
wonderful book!!! i do wish there is another book, because we are left with several unanswered ?'s it just seemed rushed at the end. so, makes me think maybe Sandi Lynn has another book in the makings???

this story pulled on all my heartstrings. Wow... it gives you a glimpse of what real love...umm scratch that, love. isn't a strong enough word, SOUL MATE truly is. Sandi Lynn once again hit it out the park with this book. definitely worth a second read. can't wait for the next book.

Remembering You is a book I could not put down. I sat and read it in one afternoon and I cannot wait for more.

This is a story about true love and fate and how no matter what, you can't change your destiny.

Claire is a down to earth 17 year old who comes from a rich, high society family that looks down their noses at people who are not like them. Claire is nothing like her family and can't stand them. She was miserable until one day and a broken down car later changed her whole life.

Sam comes from a working-class single-parent home. He is 19 years old and works as an auto mechanic to help his mother. His world changes when he comes across a beautiful girl stranded at the side of the road.

After towing Claire's car to the garage, Claire and Sam were inseparable. She was not going to let her family tear them apart. She runs away with Sam and a tragedy strikes.

Be prepared for lots of tears and an aching heart. Remember you can't change destiny. You must read this book to see if destiny will tear them apart or bring them back together again.

Not as many photos as one would hope, but all the work of Agust�n V�ctor Casasola (who documented the Revolution) is something to admire. Unfortunately, it seems the Mexican government that holds nearly all his work, is for some reason unwilling to license or release most of the images in any form.

An excellent way to understand contemporary Mexican history

Contemporary Mexican history is definetely shaped by the events (Mexican Revolution and its impact on Mexican society) that took place in the early 20th century. Casasola could be considered the father of Mexican photojournalism. Along with many other photographers that followed his steps or worked under his wings, Agustin Victor Casasola left an invaluable visual legacy of Mexican history and the participants that took place on it (from the radical painter to the workers on the streets). I recommend this book for anyone interested on Mexican history.

Funnin' In The Boonies

I just completed my late night reading of this most excellent compendium of life amongst the Boondock denizens during the 1960s. It was speedy, enjoyable, memorable and brought back the homesickness that I have from time to time concerning my childhood in rural Georgia.

The main characters are so very real that it is easy to identify with them. Tobey and Pop are the kind of individuals that are certainly moral and loving people. Holly is a warm and caring young lady. Twins are just that, "Twins". Their behavior is exceptionally that without being overwhelming. The "bad guys", male and female are very bad. They have no real goodness about them. The stark difference between them and the Kwimpers and Jones' is not a new concept, but one that moves the story along at a mind blowing speed. I could not put down my Kindle and am considering reading it again. Next, though, I have my book club meeting in another 4 hours during which we can converse and giggle and enjoy the book again together.

Hollywood never leaves a novel alone

Actually, I bought the novel because the Elvis Presley film "Follow That Dream," is based upon this novel. I considered purchasing a classroom set and teaching the novel - that is, until I read my copy. I found it not to be something I would want to teach in a classroom setting. For private reading, it is fine. I do wish the character Holly had more lines in the film but I was not in control of the script. All in all, I did read it from beginning to end. I won't keep my copy but donate it to the library.

A wonderfully written, humorous

A wonderfully written, humorous, enjoyable, and satisfying story! Richard Powell was one of the best American authors in the 20th century, and this funny and entertaining book was hard to put down. Though written in the 1950s, it is amazingly timely, for today (2014) the innervating Liberal/Humanist/Progressivist/ government dependency mindset that Powell ridicules dominates the whole country. I highly recommend it!

The best Sri Lankan cookbook available

The most authentic Sri Lankan cookbook I've ever read. It contains all the dishes I remember having as a child and more importantly, the recipes are spot on.

Complete Asian Cookbook focusing on Sri Lankan and Filipino recipes

When I bought this book, I was interested on the Sri Lankan recipes that Charmaine Solomon provides. Charmaine Solomon is one of the coveted authors in Asian cooking. Little did I know, that she has authored a number of cookbooks, grocery guides, and an encyclopedia of Asian Foods and Ingredients for over 39 years. But anyway, I was interested buying the eKindle version of this book because of making the Sri Lankan recipes at home, and I have found all of the recipes have Indian, Indonesian, Malay and South East Asian influences. They also serve different fritters and curries that unique in their culture. In addition, I have also found unique and some regional cuisine in the Philippines as well.
This cookbook list over 50 recipes in Sri Lankan cooking like rice, breads, fritters, over 30 recipes of unique curries and sambols (sambals), desserts and other meat and fish dishes. It also has 20 regional Filipino dishes that are common in the Filipino palate,and few others that are not (9).
I liked how Charmaine Solomon gives more emphases on cuisines that are not widely known like Sri Lanka and the Philippines because she gives respect, and a great knowledge and differentiate each ingredients, and what it can be used.
This complete Asian cookbook series- should not be forgotten in your kitchen collection because these recipes are unique, yet the ingredients can be found in any Asian grocery that are found in Western countries especially in the US, Europe or Canada.
This version is a reprint from her 1979 cookbook series, and is available in eKindle version which can be used on any platform whether it is your Android, Apple iPad, laptop or computer.
