As I read through his work I came to understand why so many modern works quote him and refer to him. He clearly lays it out that the God and Father of Jesus Christ is deeply interested in our lives and wants to be a part of them every day. He lay out what we can do in learning to actually converse with God - not just to know our side of the conversation but to also learn how to hear His side of it. Great book!

I think Dallas Willard's book "Hearing God" was better for practical advice on hearing guidance

Thoughtful book. Updated grammar used is helpful since it was written in the late 1800's. I think Dallas Willard's book "Hearing God" was better for practical advice on hearing guidance.
But both books add valuable insight.

A Thorough Collection of Examples without Theory

If all you want is examples of various data structures and algorithms without all the boring theory, then you'll be happy with this book. It has about seventy examples of the most common structures and algorithms. All examples are in the C Language. Pointers and advanced language concepts are extensively used.

I've studied a few so far, and they do work, but they are only for educational purposes and not ready for commercial use. Most examples begin with a very short description and a very elementary diagram that shows the program logic followed with a list of steps that describe what the code does while it runs. Many examples, if not all, also have a list of steps describing the user input, processing, and program output. So far, I haven't found any pseudo code, which if done well, would have been better.

The book does have a downside, but is mostly due to formatting. The font for the code is in serif so it's too condensed; a very poor and naive choice. The line spacing is too large so the code spans too many pages; all the examples could have taken less than half the current space so that more of it could be seen at the same time. The diagrams and overall formatting of the book are at the level of an amateur.

The book has no index, but I don't think it would have provided any value.

If the downside does not turn you off, then the book is well worth the money.

Wow - what a great book!

Wonderful book. Easy to read. Great tool for me as a parent of a 19 year old who is questioning everything. What he is going through, this book covers exactly. It has truly help build my faith and help me to be able to discuss with my son. I bought him a copy too and moved it to into his college apartment this past week. My prayer is that he will pick it up when he is ready to see the evidence on the believer side. Thank you for writing this book. Answer to my prayers.

Randall is a thoughtful, smart guy who shares his story in an honest, insightful way. His story shares similarities with many notable people including Abraham Lincoln, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, etc. From atheist to... changed!

An incredible journey

This was a pleasurable read. The author presents some potentially dry material in a low key style which allows easy digestion. The amount of research this gentlemen did was quite astounding. His journey marks the trail, making the path for all who follow much smoother and easier to travel. The author seems to have turned over every stone in his search. If anyone is interested enough in finding truth regarding the science/religion conflict, this is a must not miss publication.

I will have to holeheartedly disagree with the other reviews which have given this book two or three stars : .... you can find everything online.
Well true enough, but you will probably have to hunt down all the information spread through 4 or 5 web sites.

So first. This is NOT a book intended for seasoned SAPUI5 developers, but rather a book intended for programmers who are complete newbies or intermediate programmers.
The book assumes nothing. It starts by explaining the basics : HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery. That takes bout 20% of the book.
Next it goes through the installation process and continues to explain VERY important concepts : MVC , the binding models, data typing and theming.
It then continues explaining the basic UI controls and explains how to build a UI5 application from scratch.

If you want to learn UI5 , you can't go wrong with this book . Mr Antolovic has done an excelent job putting a lot of material in a book in a clear and concise manner.
