An American Nightmare: The Story of the Scary Mommy and the Sex Offender, by Louella Thomas

Trying to encapsulate this true story is so hard to do. Three little girls, who were left alone in this world, with no one to help them. Ignored by their mother, their mother's family, the father's family not listened to....no one cared. These are my beautiful little granddaughters, Layla, Emily and Annie. My son Mick's beautiful little girls, that we love to death, and haven't seen for almost three years. These little girls were trafficked from Illinois, to Florida, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Brazil.....all the while against a court order. I found this information. Why couldn't the police and the FBI find it? Why didn't they care? And if I was able to find it on my facebook, why didn't they find it? Because they didn't care. Because the insertion of the police who participated seemed to have a reason to make sure that Monster never paid for his grave disgusting actions. Monster's Uncle Ernie who is a cop, placed himself smack dab in the middle of this case, and lied and conspired to help the mother move the children to Monster. Everyone always made a clear path for Monster. And Devil Mother was always there to make sure that no one stopped him from raping her children. These little girls happen to be my granddaughters that I love. I have to hear their pain, their cries, they show me their little bodies, turned inside out, swollen, broken, horribly distended, like a monkey's bottom. It's something I wish I'd never seen, and something that tells me quite graphically that these little girls are being raped, sodomized, tortured. The girls begged and pleaded and screamed for help. Whenever they were with us, they would ask us why no one helped, ask our friends, and no help came. We sought help, but every time we met a brick wall. We have been harassed, threatened, knocked down, lied about....and its been horrific to bear. But the real hell has been upon three beautiful little girls, whose mother and mother's family, have conspired to have them live with a sex offender. They have lied and conspired to place three beautiful innocent little girls with a sex offender. My mind cannot ever take it in. I love these little girls. I haven't seen them in over two years. My heart aches every day for them. Their father is living in hell knowing what is happening to them. We all miss them more than we could ever explain. We are miserable on a daily basis, but try to endure and last until the day we know that God will allow us to see them again. I pray that in reading this book, you will realize what has transpired right here in America. Little children being trafficked and raped, by a sex offender, against a court order. No one listening. No one caring. No one helping. It's a tragedy. And not one that little girls should ever have to endure. This is 2013. This is America. Little children should be safe from a Monster and a Devil Mother. No child should have to endure this hell. Ever. Shame on all of us that this is happening in America. If there is a God, and I believe there is, I am praying daily for this hell to stop, and I pray that as you read this book, you become as enraged, saddened, and horrified I am that this is happening, and please God, let it end.

A Horrifically True Nightmare!
By Amazon Customer
Emotionally, this is a very difficult book to read. It has taken me over 2 months to read it, only because I read a couple of chapters, and then have to walk away from it for a while...it is so disturbing! The horrors that have been inflicted on these precious, innocent children is sickening, and the injustice of it all, that has occured to this Grandmother and her family is, in itself, criminal! I have read some of the other reviews and all I can say to the people that doubt this story is...Do you live in a bubble? Sex trafficking only occurs in third world countries?? Wake up people, it happens every day in America. And unfortunately, all too often, our justice system fails miserably. The laws are designed to protect the criminals, not the victims. Child Abusers get a slap on the wrist, maybe receive 6 months probation, and are sent on their merry way to repeat the same atrocities again and again. Meanwhile, the innocent children are the ones who suffer, because no one believes them. After all, they're just children...they have vivid imaginations and like to make up stories....right? WRONG!!! No child I know could "make up" this horrific of a story !

I went to school with Louella and her husband, and have known them for 40+ years. They are a fine, hard-working, upstanding family in our community. She didn't write this book to make money ( when I messaged her on fb as to where I could purchase this book, she immediately sent me a copy, free, no strings attached)... She is a Grandmother, who just wants to get the word out about the despicable atrocities brought upon her beautiful grandchildren, by their Devil Mother and her Monster boyfriend. All she asks is that SOMEONE, ANYONE... the news media, law enforcement, a caring lawyer, an investigative reporter...hear her story and HELP!!

PLEASE, read her book, recommend it to your friends, and help get the word out. And, in the meantime...Pray that God Watch over these Beautiful, Innocent Children. And Justice Shall Be Done.

Book is good because i don't think it's 100% true
By Duped
The read was gripping and all through the book i kept saying to myself, "how could this ever happen?" Well, I was so disgusted by the content of this book, and felt i needed to do something, anything to help. So i contacted the author on facebook and offered some literature. A book called "Mummy Knew" by Lisa James. I figured if she read about this kind of abuse, from someone who suffered first hand, and made it through into a decent adulthood, she may take some form of comfort from it. I was excited to receive a message back from the author thanking me for the support. As luck had it, I happened to catch her online when she wrote the thank you message and started a chat session. It went pretty well at first and i befriended her as her "first fan" I racked my brain trying to figure out ways to help this woman. I came up with 5 or six ideas and she only seemed interested in the steve wilcos show.. Days passed and i got NO feedback from her, or any friends or family of hers after putting my ideas on her facebook page. Why aren't more people in her life trying to help these children??? I have a friend that is very well educated in law, who took a very sincere interest in this case, i directed the author to talk with this friend, and he asked many legal questions and her answers were vague and basically fell into the "circle of lies" theory. This is what my friend wrote "I understand law pretty well, being through it myself.. I'm no attorney by any means.. But I have a fair understanding of it.. I'm not trying to discredit your efforts in any way.. I just have my own reservations about all of this as it stands..

My understanding of this matter however is that there IS a way.. There's always a way if you understand your individual rights in pursuit of legal action, being certain, non-baseless and having provided evidential measures to ensure a definitive case in your and your grand daughter's regard.. You have many options out there.. The law is not just one sided as you've suggested......

I've personally researched much in the way of statutes and revised statutes, codes; county, state and federal legal process, recoursive legal action, case filing and the process of...... So with that being said, and with regard to the matter.. NO ONE, regardless of authoritative stature can circumvent federal level action if you've already pursued it as you've told me.. Even at the state level approaching CPS; they have to, and are required by law to open a case for the process of obtaining an in depth investigation.. Even if there are in the slightest, just claims of abuse...... Failure to do so in any way, shape or form is in fact a criminal violation..

So with that being said, for anyone suspected.... Police or otherwise to tamper, derail, or by use of any corruptible means, delay or try to decline these actions really raises some profound questions for me.. Especially in the presence of a possible crime being actively committed/perpetrated.. Child trafficking is a very, very serious crime.. If you've sought legal action against the speculative possibility of certain trafficking; you'd come upon the Trafficking Victim's Protection Act (TVPA 18 USC Sect. 1589-1594).. This federal act grants ultimate legal leverage and intervention against any regional body or state limitation.. You might wanna look into this.....

Anyways.. Regardless of the matters at hand.. I wish you all the best in your endeavors to win back your grand children..

She then got very very irate and told them she wanted nothing more to do with them.. and then told me that my friends were ignorant and mean.. this is when i told her that her lack of enthusiasm makes me question her credibility. She then said that i was gone from her friends list and that i was sick.. i thought calling me "sick" was a strange defense mechanism. You'd think she'd call me cruel or heartless.. but sick?

My theory is that it was a custody thing gone very wrong.. after the divorce, mom starts dating a sex offender, grandma goes all nuts and makes up all sorts of crazy situations, perhaps even coaching the kids to say this and that, goes to doctors and lawyers and psychiatrists, sues, illinois doesn't buy it.. mom takes kids away and granny flipps out and writes a SENSATIONAL book.. but i don't believe for one second that those girls said they were raped.. or that she saw evidence of so.. i did search her facebook all the way to the first of 2011 when she started it, before the book was done, and she never mentioned the children saying they'd been raped. She also mentioned teddy's birthday, and she never said anything about the horrible things that supposedly took place on that day. just that teddy was 28.. she felt old and that teddy got a cat.. it doesn't incriminate her but it had me thinking.

The girls have been gone for almost 4 years.. why did she only start facebook when she started writing the book a year ago?
I just don't think this book is 100% true. I believe she's a desperate woman that wants to see her grandkids.. but i feel very cheated in the fact that i put a lot of effort researching the case, and the situation.. and came up short.

I suggest everyone does their own homework on the case, if this is a real situation, something needs to be done.. believe me, i tried.. but this woman says, there's nothing we can do, all we can do is sell the book and raise awareness.. sounds like all she wants is profit.. if so.. shame on you Louella Thomas

Horrible book. I couldnt get past the 2nd chapter. I dont know if the children were abused or not. The writter sabotaged any case against the accused that she comes off as being crazy.
